Patent Center Beta Release

Formatting of PCT application numbers

PAIR formats PCT application numbers as PCT/USyy/nnnnn, while Espacenet formats PCT application numbers as PCT/USyyyy/nnnnnn, with PAIR dropping leading zeros.

Both are valid, but the difference means that automatic checking systems flag differences between what's in PAIR and your records if you use the Espacenet format, and between what's in Espacenet and your records if you use the PAIR format. It would really be good if PatentCenter and Espacenet used the same format for PCT numbers.
