We do not use the web-based forms because you have to re-type information that already exists in our docketing system. Re-typing is a sure way to cause errors. Instead, I have programmed our docketing system to generate .xml documents that can be imported into an ADS which fills a good portion of the information. We also generate .xml that we use as a template for EPAS recordations. It would be great if the web-based EFS/Patent Center forms worked like EPAS and allowed you to upload a .xml template for things like the ADS as well. This would be the most useful first filings where all of the information is new to the PTO. (unlike a child application which the PTO might be able to populate the ADS from existing family information)
