Preparing an ADS is simply a pain. Even worse is preparation of an ADS with corrections. It would be easier if there was some way to either correct or modify an ADS from EFS or at least provide a way to use underline and strikethrough on the ADS fillable form.
Stakeholders use a wide variety of PDF creation programs. eMod should be able to ingest a PDF created using a variety of programs. (e.g., don't require use of PDF creation by use of Vendor X's software) Either use a PDF specification that is open-source, or publish an SDK that could drive development by multiple vendors.
We should be able to just enter all text based information using screen fillable forms. It would be SO helpful, if there were a checkbox, perhaps, next to the priority information on the ADS to include an incorporation by reference. Or even a separate section. I thought earlier versions of the ADS *sort of* said that providing the information constituted incorporation, but it was unclear and I believe the language was since removed. The web-based ADS does not fill in a date on the PDF version, it just leaves the field blank. It does not appear to go back and add the date once it's actually filed. This creates a poor file copy for our records. Would like the web-ADS complete with signing date to show up as a downloadable link at the confirm/submit stage, so I can get a file copy without having to go into Private PAIR as a second step.
The last update to the Application Data Sheet (aia/0014) broke the XML import/export functionality. Please bring that back.
