Passing docket numbers through to deposit account statements

When a fee is paid through Financial Manager from EFS, our docket number appears on our Deposit Account statement, making it easy to reconcile charges. But when a fee is paid through Financial Manager from PatentCenter, the docket number does not pass through to the Deposit Account statement. That makes no sense as Financial Manager is being used in either case. In any event, this needs to be fixed.

ADS incorrectly flagged by Patent Center as being wrong version

We have noticed that Patent Center incorrectly flags uploaded ADS files as being out-of-date. The ADS form in question is the most recent form version for the ADS (PTO/AIA/14 (02-18), approved for use through 11/30/2020. This error only seems to happen if we start a new application filing and use the "Upload ADS" option at the first stage to provide Application Data through uploading a USPTO form-fillable ADS. It correctly... more »

Document Type Bug - Appears assigned but is NOT

There is a bug in the Document Type drop-down box that makes it appear that a document type is assigned to a document when it actually is ++not++. It only seems to occur when you paste a document type into the drop-down and then click elsewhere. This scenario occurs fairly frequently, for example, when doing IDS uploads--you've uploaded 50 Foreign References using drag-and-drop and now have to go back and assign the "Foreign... more »

Drag-and-Drop Bug - Random Reordering of Files

The drag-and-drop feature is a big time-saver, but there appears to be a bug that detracts from some of the ease-of-use. Specifically, the files that are dropped are not listed in the order they were in in the source folder. For example, if you drag documents from a source folder that are alphabetically listed, that order is not preserved in the uploaded documents. However, if you use the Browse... button to go to that... more »

Saved Submission Filtering

Currently, a user is shown all saved submissions associated with all customer numbers on which that user is listed. Thus, for example, I see all submissions for customer number X that were uploaded under the sponsorship of my own account associated with customer number X, as well as all submissions for customer number X that were uploaded under the sponsorship of my colleague's account who is also associated with customer... more »

Viewable ADS in a filing

We are submitting a new application and we uploaded the USPTO ADS form into Patent Center. Out of all the documents you load for a new application the ADS is one of the most important documents to view before submitting, but you are not able to view it. You must download all documents to be able to see the ADS as it was loaded. This is a bit cumbersome. We have our paralegals load the documents to Patent Center and then... more »

Association of Customer Number to Patent Application

Patent Center is not associating the customer number to the application, making the application not viewable in PrivatePAIR. I filed a PCT application on Monday, May 4th. The attached filing Acknowledgement Receipt shows the Customer Number confirming that the number was correctly specified on the filed documents. The PCT Help Desk has confirmed that the Customer Number is listed on the documents, but the application... more »

Cannot sign-in/Sign-in doesn't "take"

I had a similar issue last week, but was able to move past it somehow. However, today, even though I am signed into my uspto.gov account, Patent Center keeps prompting me to sign in to use it as a registered user. But it never takes. I am signed in, but it still identifies me as a guest user.

I have tried three browsers and multiple attempts on each.

Assignment Document

It appears that a pdf of the assignment may be available for viewing under the "Assignments" side tab (see attached screen snip), however, when I click on the pdf icon to view the document, an error message pops up (see attached screen snip). Is this an individual occurrence or others having this same issue?

Thank you.

Returning to Search Result List

Is there a way to return to the original search list after viewing individual results from the list? For example, a search parameter returns a list of 10 applications. I click on the first application on the list to view the application details, but I cannot return to the original search list to review the other 9 applications, without having to re-enter the search parameters again. Please provide a way to return to the... more »

"Submitting on behalf of" field has to be selected twice

When filing under the sponsorship of a registered practitioner, the Beta currently requires you to select the practitioner you are filing under once at the beginning, then when you get to the final page before submitting it states that you are "working under the authority of undefined" and are required to select the sponsoring practitioner a second time. This seems redundant and would be beneficial if it auto-selected... more »
